The International Fellowship of Rotarian Military Veterans, Inc. is a Florida non-profit corporation formed to bring together Rotarians from around the world in support of Rotary's efforts towards Peace and Conflict Prevention/Resolution.
Our founder, looking for a Fellowship to join where he could work with Veterans from around the world in support of Rotary's efforts towards Peace and Conflict Prevention/Revolution, realized that one did not already exist. He made the decision to form the Fellowship and notified Rotary International of his intent on June 23rd.
July was a whirlwind of activity. With the Rotary Foundation Centenial celebration less than a year away at the International Convention in Atlanta, GA there was little time to prepare the application for acceptance by the RI Board of Directors. Still, by July 30th the charter membership roster contained the names of 27 Rotarians, from six countries across three continents; proof that the interest in a global Fellowship of Rotarian Military Veterans was out there.
On October 14th we were notified that the Board had voted to recognize the Fellowship. The paperwork was filed and on October 19th, 2016 the International Fellowship of Rotarian Military Veterans, Inc. became a Florida non-profit organization. The first step in what will be a long journey in support of peace around the world.
